How do I know if IGNITE will benefit my child?

Your child will benefit if he or she: simply loves to learn in a creative, fun, and hands-on way.

Your child will benefit if he or she: has a keen interest in a subject - math, creative writing, history, reading, science, Spanish - and wants to do more of it.
  For example, you may have a budding writer who spends hours writing in his room and is unsure how to take this interest to the next level. You might have a mathematician who zips through the lessons in school and would like to do higher-level thinking work, hands-on geometry, puzzles, strategy games, problem solving, or even delve into physics.
Your child will benefit if he or she: has a particular ability that is not being utilized as much as it could be.
  For example, your young writer may have trouble self-motivating to write outside of school, so the burgeoning talent is waning. Perhaps your child developed a unique interest in the American Revolution in school and doesn’t know how to pursue it now that the unit has ended. Or, your math whiz hurries through his work at school and is resistant to challenging himself to do more. You’re worried that he won’t have practice learning how to think and will be frustrated when faced with higher-level classes that require him to problem solve. At IGNITE, we make it fun for kids to explore the breadth of their talents and we encourage them to dig deeper in creative ways.
Your child will benefit if he or she: claims to despise - or is doing poorly in - a particular area that is necessary to continue to study through school, such as math, writing, reading, history, or science.
  If your child generally enjoys learning but shuts down when faced with math or another subject, he will certainly benefit from IGNITE. We will inventory the student’s interests and find something he likes that can be integrated with the subject. A young art enthusiast, for example, might enjoy drawing geometric designs or creating 3D polyhedron constructions which is, by the way, math.
Your child will benefit if he or she: is tuning out in school, having trouble focusing, underachieving, or suddenly bringing hoje lower grades than before
  You remember the days when your daughter would come home wide-eyed, full of reports about the things she learned and discovered, but now you can’t even bribe her to do her homework. IGNITE is our name, and by identifying your child’s learning style and harnessing her interests, we will develop customized learning opportunities that help to light the spark again. We also can collaborate with your child’s teacher or school to improve the overall educational experience by implementing some individualized strategies.
